PAPERMAKING for Ages 8 & Up
4 day session: July 14, 15, 17 & 18 / $195

PAPERMAKING – Watermark Design, Embossing, and Pulp Painting: Students will learn to make sheets of handmade paper, design true watermarks and stencils to work with color laminations, embossing, and applications of pulp painting in their work. This is a great hands-on exploration into very creative techniques of hand papermaking.

**PAPERMAKING & BOOK CONSTRUCTION WITH SHARON YONENAKA**

PAPERMAKING & BOOK CONSTRUCTION for ages 10 & Up
4 day session: July 28, 29, 31 & Aug 1 / $195
Students will learn to form sheets of handmade paper and use those to make blank books (journals or sketchbooks). We will design and paint book covers and end papers, sew, assemble and press the book structures while learning book binding technique fundamentals and exploring creative variations beyond the great basics.

CERAMICS with LANI ZILA - COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
*CERAMICS - Hand Building for Ages 8 - 16: Throughout these themed courses, students will learn various hand building techniques, such as pinching, coiling, slab building and sculpting to empower young artists to create unique, one-of-a-kind masterpieces! We will guide children through the fundamentals of ceramic artistry, providing a safe and encouraging environment for them to experiment and create.

*CERAMICS - Teen Pottery Wheel Classes: Students will learn basic tool & equipments use and wheel throwing skills: centering, bringing up the walls, trimming, surface treatment and glazing.

*CERAMICS - Tactile Clay Play for Young Children: This class focuses on the joy of sensory exploration through clay. Without the pressure of creating finished pieces, kids will have the freedom to squish, roll, and shape the clay as they wish. This unstructured play helps develop fine motor skills and encourages creativity in a relaxed and fun environment. Join us for a playful, hands-on experience where little ones can discover the endless possibilities of clay through pure, uninhibited play!
