Looking for a creative adventure? If you are ready to unearth your intuitive creativity, you’ve come to the right place!
In these sessions students will practice “letting go” and ignoring obstacles (otherwise known as plan B) to find their visual voice through mixed media: painting, collage, photography and poetry! We’ll discover the joy of fearless mark making to re-awaken the spirit of child’s play.
Leave your inner critic at the door! There are no mistakes, only happy accidents! Karen will share prompts, techniques, and lots of encouragement, guiding students through the process of allowing their sixth sense to guide them on their creative adventure!

Some inspiring words from Karen…
I like living life out loud! Right here and now! Creativity is a way of life for me - and though it often takes some courage, I cannot seem to resist! Besides, I’ve found that the benefits absolutely outweigh the fear!
Since I’m curious by nature, mixed media works best for me. I’m not hemmed in by what to use – whether it’s canvas and paint, wood and wax, or dried leaves from the yard - I don’t consider new materials or techniques to an obstacle, I use them all – and make some up! I love trying new things and am not too caught up in whether the final product is a success or not. The journey is what is important to me! Challenges help me to discover pathways toward resourcefulness and creative growth.
It is so important to me to encourage other people to realize their own creative potential! Yes, we all are creative… we just need to find our way back to the childhood artist in us - to let go and open up - is a life lesson as well as a creative one!
