Jody Alexander is an artist, bookbinder, librarian and teacher, living and working in Santa Cruz and the Sierra Nevada Foothills. She combines textiles and found objects with discarded books, and gives them new life as scrolls, wall pieces, books, sculptural objects and installations. Her current work is inspired by the art of repair, mending techniques, and reuse.

Join instructor Jody Alexander in this series of paper arts workshops. Each class focuses on a different historically based project that utilizes simple folding and cutting techniques. Students are encouraged to use found, recycled, and repurposed papers in creating these decorative structures. Basic materials and tools will be provided but students are encouraged to bring photos, images and found papers to make their projects unique to them.
