In this workshop-style summer intensive, students will: complete rigorous drawing practice; learn about important concepts such as composition, paneling, story, and anatomy; and receive step-by-step guidance and personal feedback on one of their own comic or manga projects, including the process of designing characters and writing a script. This class is tailored for passionate and self-driven artists of all technical skill levels. Scholarships are available based on financial need!

Develop or enhance your character art fundamentals in this introductory level course. We will cover the basics of anatomy, character design, posing, and composition. By the end, students should have one completed page of work, either an illustration or a comic page. Reference materials and art supplies are included in the course fee. Students of all levels are welcome!
